STL SCITT Information Event
Tuesday, 3 November 2026 · 4:00 pm–5:00 pm
About this event
Members of the SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) Team will cover all aspects of who we are and what we can offer on your own personal journey of becoming a teacher and how you can apply. Our Initial Teacher Training courses are carefully crafted to give you the best of in-school experience alongside theory, pedagogy and subject knowledge training at one of our training hubs. We offer full and part-time courses, which result in Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the option to gain a Master's Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
We also offer a PGTA (Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship for more experienced applicants. We are passionate about education and our team is led by current school teachers and leaders. Following our Ofsted inspection (2026) we are delighted to have been awarded exceptional gradings in all areas of both primary and secondary education. STL SCITT's central offices are based at The Cherwell School in Oxford, but we operate our courses from a number of Hub locations around Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire. Applicants to our courses can choose the Hub (study site) which is closest to them, this means that you can access the Central and Subject Curriculum sessions in a location near to you and enjoy training locally, with a combination of in-person, online and in-school training.
We look forward to meeting you at one of our events.
