We are a School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider whose work is dedicated to training aspiring teachers, across Leeds, Bradford and Hull & East Yorkshire. GORSE SCITT is an integral part of The Gorse Academies Trust, a high performing multi academy trust led by Sir John Townsley and Leeds Teaching School Hub. In 2021, GORSE SCITT was recognised by OFSTED as being Outstanding in all aspects of its work. Over the last nine years, GORSE SCITT has successfully trained well over a thousand teachers across all subjects in the primary and secondary phases. The majority of these colleagues are now pursuing careers in our trust or partner schools, furthermore, a number of these colleagues have made rapid progress through their careers and now hold middle and senior leader positions in schools. It should also be noted that anyone who successfully trains with us, as well as receiving Qualified Teacher Status, will be awarded a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and 60 points towards a Masters qualification.
