Job description

As a support for learning assistant (SLA) you will be providing teacher and pupil support to enhance pupil attainment, achievement, and engagement. As required, SLAs will also undertake a wide range of whole school support activities and pupil support with regards to the general supervision, safety, care and wellbeing of the pupils which may include covering the medical and care & welfare needs of young learners. You may also be required to carry out administrative tasks from time to time. Excellent communication and organisational skills are required, and you should enjoy working as part of a team. You should have some experience of working with children, ideally in an educational setting. Successful candidates must undertake training in Manual Handling and First Aid.
