We currently have the following opportunity: Enhanced Pupil Support Assistant, Intensive Support Provision - PKC14236£18,847 - £20,505 (27.5 Hours per week, Term-time only)The Community School of Auchterarder The Community School of Auchterarder is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pupil Support Assistant (PSA) to join our school’s Intensive Support Provision (ISP) staff team.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people in our school’s newly established Intensive Support Provision.   PLEASE NOTE - For 2026-2027 session, the temporary base for our ISP is Errol Primary School, before moving into a new permanent base at The Community School of Auchterarder from August 2027.  For the current period, while the temporary base is at Errol, travel expenses may be claimable. As a Pupil Support Assistant in our school’s ISP, your role will be to work with teaching staff to deliver high-quality care and education to meet the needs of children and young people with complex additional support needs. The PSA role is varied and may include: Deliver planned activities, approaches and tailored programmes for children and young people aimed at developing social, communication, and cognitive skills across various learning settings (one-to-one, small groups, or classroom). Following training, carry out specific procedures to meet the healthcare needs of individual pupils Carry out personal care tasks Assist with and contribute to behaviour management strategies and plans Supervise pupils during short periods when the teacher is absent Help collect information and maintain individual pupil records Provide supervision and care for identified pupils in the playground and during school transport It is expected the working pattern for these posts will be Monday to Friday during term-time, 9am – 3pm. Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.RequirementsWe are looking for an individual who can demonstrate: A genuine interest in the development of children and their wellbeing Kindness, Empathy, patience and an ability to engage with children and young people Confidentiality in relation to children, young people and their families Experience (paid/voluntary) of supporting children and young people with complex additional support needs Ideally you will have or be willing to undertake a PDA Education Support Assistance qualification, or equivalent (at SCQF level 6 or above, e.g. NC Early Education and Childcare; SVQ3 Social Care).
