Administration Assistant

Required September 2026

• Grade: BB03 (Salary Point 5)

• Actual Salary: £22,533 

• Working pattern: 37 hours per week Term time only + 10 days

This post attracts a Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £13.45 an hour

We are seeking to appoint a professional, efficient, customer-focused administrator to join our committed, experienced and friendly administration team. This is a key role which is integral to the smooth running of our school’s administrative support service. 

As an administration assistant, you will provide general administrative support to the school. Your duties will include managing phone calls, emails and other enquiries; managing accurate student records, including data input and retrieval; producing documents, filing and photocopying. The role is varied and you will mainly work in student reception and main reception; welcoming all parents, pupils and visitors to our school in a professional and approachable manner and supporting students at student reception with their day-to-day queries and needs and assisting with first aid and general administrative tasks.

St Benet Biscop is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, a large trust consisting of 39 schools. The school has good public transport links into Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding local area.
