MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The particular duties of the After-School Play Leader will be determined by the Head Teacher/Deputy and /or SENDCo and will be arranged to meet the needs of the School and pupil(s) being supported. This may include working with pupils with a statement of special educational needs.
- Lead the day-to-day organisation and running of the after-school provision
- Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children
- Plan and deliver engaging indoor and outdoor activities suitable for primary-aged children
- Foster positive relationships with children, families and staff
- Promote exceptional behaviour through clear routines, high expectations and positive interactions
- Ensure children are safe, happy and well supervised at all times
- Support children’s social development, independence and wellbeing through play and enrichment opportunities
- Organise resources and maintain a stimulating environment
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and school policies and procedures
- Communicate professionally with parents and carers at collection times
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure consistency with the school ethos and values
Support with snack preparation and maintaining a clean, organised provision space
- Contribute to “The Best Chance of Success” ethos of the school.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training, as available.
