Job description
Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more
Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious Assistant Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced school leader who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives and outcomes of young people.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal and wider Senior Leadership Team, playing an important role in the continued development and improvement of the academy. They will provide visible and positive leadership across the school, supporting high expectations for pupils and staff and helping to create a culture where every pupil can succeed.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can bring strong experience and knowledge in areas such as attendance, behaviour, pastoral leadership or SEND. Experience of successfully leading attendance would be advantageous, although the final portfolio of responsibilities will be determined by the strengths and experience of the successful candidate and the needs of the academy.
We would also welcome applications from experienced SENDCos who are ready to take the next step into senior leadership and broaden their impact across the whole school.
We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider school community. You will have high expectations, strong leadership skills and the ability to support and motivate others while providing appropriate challenge.
Above all, we are looking for an ambitious leader who shares our commitment to improving attendance, behaviour, inclusion and outcomes, and who wants to play a key part in the continued success of our academy.
