By managing the complex statutory requirements of SEND, you ensure that our teachers have the information they need to be successful and that our parents feel heard and supported. The role also includes supporting the SENDCo in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Designated Teacher for Looked After and Previously Looked After Children, including preparing PEPs and liaising with the Virtual School.

We are seeking someone with experience of working with children with SEND who communicates clearly, builds strong relationships with families and is able to manage multiple deadlines with confidence. You will be someone who can support teachers with strategies and pupil information, understands the needs of children with care experience, and coordinate EHCP reviews and SEND documentation effectively. A solution‑focused mindset, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to inclusion are essential. If you are passionate about inclusion and want to play a key role in supporting pupils with SEND and care experience, we would be delighted to receive your application.

The post holder should have good literacy and numeracy skills, the ability to relate well with children and adults, work on their own initiative and possess sound ICT skills. Experience of working with young people aged five to eleven is an advantage, however full training will be provided.
