Hours: 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time +1)

Salary: Scale E £13.90 to £14.58/hour.

Start date: 01 September 2026

We are seeking a committed and proactive Attendance Lead to join our team and play a key role in ensuring that every pupil attends school regularly and is able to achieve their full potential. Working closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies, you will help remove barriers to attendance and promote positive engagement with school.


This is an important role for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and building strong relationships with families.

About the role


The Attendance Lead will take responsibility for promoting, monitoring and improving attendance across the school.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor attendance across the school, identifying trends and concerns.

• Work proactively with families to improve attendance and punctuality.

• Develop and implement attendance support plans where appropriate.

• Liaise with external agencies and professionals to support pupils and families.

• Maintain accurate attendance records and produce reports for school leaders.

• Ensure attendance procedures are followed consistently and effectively.

• Promote a positive culture where excellent attendance is valued and celebrated.

• Support the school in meeting statutory attendance requirements.
