Job description
York High School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Attendance Officer. The successful candidate will liaise with students, families and staff to remove any significant barriers to students attending school, and will work with Pastoral and SEN leaders to improve the attendance of identified students.
You will need to be confident and able to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies as required. You may be required to travel independently to the homes of pupils and therefore should have your own vehicle and insurance for business use. You will be approachable and able to work collaboratively with parents/carers, and whilst it would be advantageous to have a working knowledge of our school Management Information System (Arbor), training will be provided.
The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
We would strongly encourage any prospective candidate to visit the school. Please email Dawn Becton, PA to Principal and Office Manager, at d.becton@yorkhigh.elt.org.uk if you would like to arrange a visit.
