The Great Schools Trust is expanding its exceptional team at King’s Leadership Academy Wavertree, and we are looking for a passionate, proactive and committed Attendance Officer to join us.

King’s Wavertree opened in September 2025 and is now entering its second year of operation. As a rapidly growing new school, this is a fantastic opportunity to help shape our culture and make a lasting difference to young people's lives.

Every school day matters, and we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.

As our Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in establishing excellent attendance and punctuality, building strong relationships with families, identifying barriers to attendance and ensuring every student feels supported, valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.

As part of Great Schools Trust, you will join a welcoming, ambitious and values-driven community where staff wellbeing, professional development and teamwork genuinely matter.

Why Join Us?
  • Make a real difference - help shape the attendance culture of a growing academy from the ground up.

  • Supportive and welcoming team - work alongside colleagues who share your commitment to transforming young lives.

  • Professional development - excellent opportunities to develop your skills and progress within a growing multi-academy trust.

  • Excellent benefits - including a competitive salary, Local Government Pension Scheme, BUPA Employee Assistance Programme and a strong commitment to staff wellbeing.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Warmth, empathy and resilience, alongside high expectations for every student.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to engage positively with families.

  • Strong data management skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach to improving attendance.

  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding, teamwork and helping young people overcome barriers to success.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle (essential).
