The Grange Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Breakfast and After School Club Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our pupils outside of the normal school day.
You will support the delivery of high-quality wraparound care, ensuring children feel happy, secure, and actively engaged in a range of activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage pupils in a safe and inclusive environment
- Plan and support a range of creative, play-based, and recreational activities
- Prepare and serve light breakfasts and snacks in line with food hygiene standards
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing of all children
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers
Pay range:
- NJC 3 - £12,377.89
- FTE - £24,796.00
- 21 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
- 7.20am - 9am and 3pm - 5.30pm each day
- Permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
- GCSE Maths and English Grace C or above (or equivalent)
- Childcare and supervision skills - ability to engage and manage groups of primary-aged children safely
- Communication skills - clear and friendly communication with children, staff, and parents
- Teamwork - ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Organisation - managing activities, time, and routines effectively
