Job description
We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join our experienced Site Team at Chesterton Community Sports College.
17.5 hours per week. (14.30 to 18.00 daily during Term time)
What you'll be doing
- Secure school premises
- Ensure the site is safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times
- Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Monitor heating, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems
- Manage waste disposal and replenish consumables (e.g. soap, paper towels)
- Respond to emergency issues (e.g. leaks, faults) and report accordingly
- Oversee contractors and visitors on site
- Maintain outdoor areas, including car parks and grounds

- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility
- Friendly, professional approach with students, staff, and visitors
