Catering Assistant Fixed Term to March 2027

Scale Pay Point 3

Pattern of hours - 25 hrs per week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.15am-2.30pm (with a 15 minute break) Fridays 9.45am-3.00pm (with a 15 minute break)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Catering Assistant to join our established Catering team. Experience is an advantage, but full training will be given.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and adaptable Catering Assistant to join our established catering team within a school judged by OFSTED as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, a school where both student achievement and attitudes to learning are amongst the best in the region. We are a fantastic learning community, set in one of Yorkshire’s most scenic areas, whose facilities have been further enhanced by the completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment and expansion project.

We are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic, capable person to prepare and produce food for students, staff and hospitality events A professional, courteous and adaptable approach 
  • A person who loves working as part of a team
  • Customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of providing quality food of all varieties 
  • Front and back of house services, operating cashless till system, putting stock orders away, wiping tables, washing up, setting out and clearing away of furniture, loading and unloading of dishwashers
