Job description
Primary Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
The Raleigh School
The Raleigh School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team on a maternity cover contract from November 2026 until 31 August 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a real difference to children's learning and development within a thriving primary school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, and ensuring that all pupils are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential. The role may be in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on the needs of the school.
We are looking for someone with excellent classroom practice, high expectations for achievement and behaviour, and a commitment to providing the very best outcomes for every child. You will be expected to plan and deliver inspiring lessons, assess and monitor pupil progress, adapt learning to meet individual needs, and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil success.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, a strong team player and someone who shares our belief that every child deserves a rich, engaging and rewarding educational experience. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and those at the beginning of their teaching career who are eager to develop professionally within a supportive environment.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues in a welcoming school community, with access to high-quality professional development and support.
Applications are encouraged as soon as possible. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a high volume of suitable applications, therefore early application is advised.
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
