We are seeking to appoint a classroom teacher with a commitment to supporting students who need additional academic and/or pastoral support to transition successfully and succeed in secondary school.

We are looking for a colleague able to work as a classroom teacher, teaching a small number of mixed ability students in core and some foundation subjects. Primary trained ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply. Some teaching in the wider school may be available in due course to support the colleague’s professional development should they wish this. Subject specialism is not important, but a flexible and enthusiastic attitude, along with a desire to work as a team and improve student’s lives, are.

The demands of the role are acknowledged and as such the teaching load is reduced to 20 out of 25 sessions a week, with the remaining 5 sessions being PPA and extended support time.

We require a positive role model who knows that excellent relationships are at the heart of developing positive behaviour in our students; someone who has a passion for improving young peoples’ life chances and uses positive management techniques and strategies, that are consistent with the school’s values and ethos.
