Vacancy for a Cleaner at Crosshall Junior School

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 3, Point 3 £7,023

Hours of work: 12.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 2.5 hours per day. The hours can either be 2.5 hours every morning (6:00am-8:30am) or 2.5 hours after school (15:30pm-18:00pm).

39 weeks (term time plus 5 days)

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic cleaner to join Crosshall Infant School! You will play an important role in ensuring our school provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. You will follow agreed cleaning schedules and ensure that all areas are cleaned to a consistently high standard, helping to provide a positive learning environment for our pupils.

Responsibilities

  • To operate effectively both domestic and industrial type cleaning equipment.
  • To use cleaning materials appropriately and economically and inform the cleaning supervisor when stocks are low.
  • Work to academy guidelines at all times, particularly in relation to the health and safety policy.
  • To ensure that tools and equipment are in good working order.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to undertake all the physical aspects of the post.
  • Ability to move and use domestic and industrial type cleaning equipment.
  • Commitment to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
