CLERICAL AND COVER ASSISTANT

Job description
Your main role will be to manage daily staffing cover, arrange room changes and engage external supply teachers in response to planned and unexpected absences.
Hours of work:
3 hours a day, from 7.30 a.m. until 10.30 a.m., Monday to Friday
What we are looking for:
You will be highly organised, calm under pressure and confident managing competing priorities. You will bring:
- Strong administrative, organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and written communication.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, spreadsheets and databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills.
- Sound judgement, initiative and creative problem-solving ability.
- A tactful, professional approach and a commitment to confidentiality.
Previous experience in a school, office or administrative environment would be advantageous. Experience of arranging staff cover and dealing with supply agencies or school information systems would be welcome. Training and support will be provided.
