Job description
John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives - and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our evolving organisation.
Are you looking for a dynamic and exciting role within education where no day is the same? This role involves supporting students within the classroom to meet their aspirational targets.
This could also be the ideal stepping-stone into teaching or mentoring.
What will you be doing? You will be supervising classes during the short-term absence of their teacher, assisting students with their set work and activities to ensure they remain focused and on track. This role is diverse with the opportunity to develop new skills throughout the school.
What do you need? Good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE grade C and above and excellent communication skills. Experience within education preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
John Taylor High School’s whole school vision is underpinned by the four core values chosen by our school community: RESPECT, KINDNESS, INTEGRITY and PERSEVERANCE.
If you have a passion for excellence and share our vision, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a successful and progressive Trust, which is committed to ensuring learning is at the heart of all we do.
If you want to discuss this role, please contact Rhian Warriner, by emailing recruitment@jths.co.uk or telephoning 01283 247800.
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
