Cover Supervisor
32.5 hours per week

Term time (38 weeks per year)

Monday to Friday - 08.15-15.15

Scale 5 (Point 10-13)

Actual Salary £18,195 per annum
We are looking for a punctual, reliable and well organised individual who is able to remain calm and work well under pressure.You will be responsible for managing the behaviour of the children and actively helping the students to access the learning that has been provided by the class teacher.

St Martin's School is a large co-educational comprehensive school located in Hutton, Brentwood. The school benefits from a pleasant semi-rural environment with agricultural land to the rear. The school, which also includes a large sixth form block, is situated on an open, attractive 30 acre site. Parking is available on-site and there are good transport links by both rail and bus. Hutton is five miles from the M25 and 19 miles from London, which is easily reached by road or train (25 minutes to Liverpool Street Station).

This is a large, but friendly school in which all staff are helped to develop their talents. This is supported by an extensive and wide ranging in-house continual professional development programme (CPD). We have high quality mentoring and induction programmes for staff with excellent opportunities for training and professional development.

2025 - 74.9% of students achieved grades 9-4 in GCSE English Literature and 74.8% in GCSE English Language and 78.1% of students achieved grades 9-4 in Mathematics 2024 - 77.5% of students achieved 9 - 4 in GCSE English Literature and 79.5% in GCSE English Language and 79.9% of students achieved 9 - 4 in Mathematics - Over Subscribed - 1184 applications for 292 year 7 places in 2023 - Ofsted 2024 - Good with outstanding leadership
