Curriculum Lead for Media Studies

TLR 2.1 (£3, 526 per annum)

Required for September 2026

Collingwood College is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and inspiring Curriculum Lead for Media Studies to lead and further develop this highly successful and popular department.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the curriculum Media Studies across KS4 and KS5
  • Teach Media Film Studies at GCSE and A Level
  • Support colleagues within the department
  • Drive high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Contribute to whole‑school improvement and leadership as a TLR holder
  • Inspire students through creative, relevant and engaging learning experiences

The Department

  • Film and Media Studies is a high‑performing area of the College, offering:
  • GCSE Media Studies and Film Studies
  • A Level Media Studies and Film Studies
  • BTEC Creative Media Production (Post‑16)

Results are consistently strong, with progress in the top 25% nationally. Students benefit from high‑quality resources, excellent uptake across year groups, and a committed, supportive team with strong links across the curriculum.
