Grade: H5 + Outer Fringe

Hours: Up to 27 hours and 30 minutes per week

Working Pattern: 9.00 to 15.00 Monday to Friday

Contract: Term-time plus 5 days INSET

Actual Salary: Up to£17,700 per annum - salary dependent on basic hours contracted

Start Date: September 2026

Robert Barclay Academy is seeking to appoint a confident, motivated and enthusiastic Curriculum Teaching Assistant (Maths). This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for Mathematics and education to play a key role in raising standards of numeracy and supporting students to achieve their full potential in Maths. Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or a graduate considering a future in teaching, this role offers an excellent platform to develop your skills and make a real difference.

What you will do:

  • Work alongside Maths teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning in the classroom
  • Provide targeted numeracy support for students, including small group and 1:1 interventions to improve numeracy outcomes
  • Help plan, prepare and organise Maths resources and learning activities
  • Support students of all abilities to build confidence, resilience and success in Maths
  • Contribute to the department’s drive to raise achievement and close gaps in attainment
