Salary: Leadership L16 - L20 (£75,049 - £82,654)

We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to help lead our specialist SEND school through its next stage of development, working alongside the Headteacher to deliver outstanding provision for pupils aged 2-19. This is an opportunity to shape an ambitious and personalised curriculum, champion high-quality teaching and learning, and strengthen a culture of collaboration, growth and continuous improvement. We are looking for a leader who combines strategic vision with warmth, resilience and professional generosity, someone who can develop others, build strong relationships and help ensure every pupil is prepared for a successful and meaningful future.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Headteacher in providing strategic leadership and driving the academy’s improvement priorities.
  • Lead and develop staff, promoting high standards, professional growth and effective performance.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of teaching, learning, assessment and pupil outcomes across the academy.
  • Help deliver an ambitious, inclusive curriculum that meets pupils’ SEND and EHCP needs.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding leadership and deputise for the Headteacher when required.
