Due to the forthcoming retirement of our highly valued Deputy Headteacher, Tanners Brook Primary School is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team to lead on Inclusion. This is a rare opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a successful and inclusive primary school while making a lasting difference to the lives of children and families.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with our Co-Headteachers to lead and develop the school's inclusive culture, ensuring that every child receives the support, opportunities and encouragement they need to succeed. The role includes responsibility for:

  • Leading safeguarding and child protection across the school as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Strategic leadership of inclusion, disadvantaged pupils and pupil premium provision.

  • Leading personal development, wellbeing and aspects of the PSHE/RSE curriculum.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced and successful school leader with a track record of driving improvement.
  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and is ready to lead as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Is passionate about inclusion and committed to removing barriers so that every child can flourish.
  • Can inspire, support and challenge colleagues to achieve the highest standards.
  • Has experience of working effectively with families, external agencies and wider stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates warmth, resilience, integrity and a genuine commitment to children and their communities.

The successful candidate may also have a teaching commitment equivalent to approximately one day per week.
