Digital Marketing Officer
The Great Schools Trust · Warrington · Warrington
Job description
Digital Marketing Officer
Great Schools Trust
Tell stories that matter. Build a brand with purpose. Make education impossible to ignore.
At Great Schools Trust, we are not interested in doing education quietly. We run schools with ambition, heart and a slightly unreasonable belief that young people deserve the very best, regardless of postcode, background or starting point. We are building something bold, values-driven and genuinely transformational. Now we need a brilliant Digital Marketing Officer to help us tell that story properly.
Not beige posts. Not corporate wallpaper. Not “here is a photo of a cheque and seven people looking awkward”. We mean powerful campaigns, sharp storytelling, engaging content and a digital presence that captures the energy, purpose and impact of our Trust.
This is a role for someone who can blend creativity with strategy, instinct with analytics and storytelling with results. Someone who knows that a great post can start a conversation, a strong campaign can shift perception and the right story, told well, can inspire people to act.
What you’ll be doing
- You will lead and deliver digital campaigns that bring our vision, values and work to life across social media, websites and other online platforms.
- You will find the stories that deserve to be told: the pupil successes, the staff brilliance, the community impact, the small moments that reveal something much bigger.
- You will grow our online communities, improve engagement, support recruitment and help shape how Great Schools Trust is seen by families, staff, partners and the wider education world.
- You will also use data properly. Not just to produce graphs that sit in a folder feeling lonely, but to understand what works, what lands and what needs to change.
The kind of person we’re looking for
- We are looking for a digital marketing professional who is creative, organised, curious and confident enough to bring ideas to the table.
- You will need to be a strong writer, a visual thinker and someone who understands how to create content that connects with different audiences. Parents, pupils, staff, future colleagues, local communities and sector partners all need different things from us.
- You will be a self-starter who enjoys autonomy, takes ownership and gets things done without needing a seventeen-page flowchart and a biscuit-fuelled meeting for every decision.
- You will care about education, social impact and the power of stories to build trust, pride and belonging.
What we offer
- A values-led organisation with a clear mission and a genuine appetite for innovation.
- The chance to shape and grow the digital voice of a Trust working across multiple academies.
- Professional development, access to modern tools and the space to be creative.
- Hybrid working options and flexibility to help you do your best work.
- A culture built on trust, collaboration, purpose and high expectations.
A few practical details
You will need to travel with ease between our academies in Bolton, Warrington and Liverpool. Our Trust Head Office is based at King’s Leadership Academy Warrington, where you will be expected to visit regularly.
