As our DT & Science Technician, you will play an important role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across both curriculum areas. Working closely with teaching staff, you will prepare materials, equipment and resources for practical lessons, maintain safe and organised learning environments, and contribute to engaging classroom experiences that inspire curiosity and creativity. Previous experience in a technician role is welcomed but not essential as training and support will be provided.

As part of our community, you’ll be embraced by colleagues who Lead with Kindness, champion your growth, and celebrate every milestone. Here, Stronger Together isn’t just a slogan, it’s how we work: mentoring one another, sharing expertise in collaborative planning, and offering tailored professional development that helps you thrive at every stage of your career.

We have high aspirations for our pupils and provide a range of opportunities to enrich their life experiences. We are proud that we provide a safe environment for our pupils and families.

Our ideal applicant will:

  • Have an interest in Science, Design and Technology, engineering or practical learning environments

  • Be organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities

  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety

  • Be confident working independently and as part of a team

  • Be able to form positive relationships within the team and wider school community

We offer:

  • A welcoming and supportive staff team

  • A pleasant working environment

  • Access to our on-site fitness suite and free after-school Pilates and spin classes to support health and wellbeing

Kingfisher Schools Trust offers a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Excellent opportunities for development

  • Access to a huge variety of training courses through The National College

  • Pension scheme (LGPS) with generous employer contribution

  • Employee Assistance Programme for free and confidential advice

  • Shopping and leisure discounts

  • Cycle to work salary sacrifice scheme

  • Affordable electric car salary sacrifice scheme

Please submit your application as soon as possible, as the closing date for this vacancy may be altered if a sufficient number of applications are received.

Our school is part of Kingfisher Schools Trust. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check will be part of the pre-employment screening process for this role. An application form must be completed in full; CVs alone cannot be accepted.
