We are now seeking a passionate, skilled and dedicated Design and Technology Technician to join our team and play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning within our Design and Technology department.
The Role
As Design and Technology Technician, you will:
- Prepare, maintain and organise tools, equipment, and materials for practical lessons across the Design and Technology department.
- Support teaching staff and students during practical activities, ensuring the safe and effective use of machinery and equipment.
- Help maintain safe, clean and well-resourced workshop and classroom environments.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure resources are readily available for teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the department, including supporting displays, projects, and wider curricular activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has practical experience working with tools, machinery, or materials within a design, technology, engineering, or similar environment.
- Understands and values health and safety procedures, with a commitment to maintaining safe working practices.
- Is organised, proactive, and able to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team, supporting both staff and students.
- Is committed to supporting students to develop their skills in a safe and engaging learning environment.
