Early Years and Key Stage 1 Teacher

Hintlesham and Chattisham Church of England Primary School · Ipswich · Suffolk

Job description

Are you passionate about early childhood education and excited by the opportunity to teach across EYFS and Key Stage 1?

At Hintlesham and Chattisham Church of England Primary School, our vision is that "Together we are a PRECIOUS team; we work hard to shine and gleam." Rooted in the belief that every child is precious and uniquely gifted, we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed 0.4 Class Teacher to join our experienced and dedicated team. From September, our EYFS and KS1 children will learn together within a carefully planned mixed-age environment where relationships, child development and belonging are at the heart of all we do.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about play, enquiry and exploration, understands the importance of the Characteristics of Effective Learning, and is committed to helping every child discover their strengths and let their light shine. You will be part of a skilled and supportive team that values creativity, curiosity and high expectations, providing rich opportunities for children to flourish both academically and personally.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who believes in nurturing confident, independent learners and who shares our commitment to ensuring every child is known, valued and supported to become the very best version of themselves.

You will:

Have high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge all pupils to shine and achieve their potential

Be creative, adaptable and have a passion for delivering a rich and exciting curriculum, and high-quality learning experiences for all children

Be committed to creating a nurturing and caring ethos in which pupils can flourish

Have a positive attitude and great communication skills

Be committed to working collaboratively and building positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community

Experience of teaching and managing a mixed-age class and curriculum, especially within the EYFS and/or Key Stage 1 is desirable.
