This is a role where no two days are the same - and where your impact will be felt every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil attainment and behaviour
  • Provide clear, supportive feedback to pupils to encourage progress and independence
  • Prepare and organise learning resources to support lessons and interventions
  • Promote pupils’ social, emotional and mental wellbeing
  • Support inclusive practice and ensure all pupils can access learning opportunities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, families, and external professionals
  • Contribute to a safe, respectful and engaging learning environment
  • Support pupils with personal care, health and wellbeing needs where required
  • Assist with breaktime supervision, educational visits, and wider school activities

  • Is passionate about supporting children with SEND to achieve their potential
  • Has experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and a nurturing approach

  • Has strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with children and adults
  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and the wellbeing of all pupils
  • Has good literacy, numeracy and basic ICT skills
  • Is reliable, flexible and resilient, with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Is motivated to continue learning and developing professionally
