Job description

About the Role

As an Early Years Stronger Practice Adviser, you will work directly with settings identified through the program to provide tailored, diagnostic-led support. Using coaching and mentoring approaches, modelling effective practice, and supporting leaders to develop sustainable action plans, you will help settings embed lasting improvements. Training will consist of 3 face to face sessions between September and December and support to settings will be delivered from January 2027.

Who We Are Looking For

Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Have experience of coaching, mentoring, or supporting the professional development of others.

Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Are committed to improving outcomes for all children, particularly those who are disadvantaged and/or have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Can support leaders and educators to implement evidence-informed improvements in practice.

Contract Information

Appointments will be made through Mount Stewart Greater London Early Years Stronger Practice Hub.

The Department for Education provides funding of £500 per day, inclusive of travel and associated costs. The role is undertaken through release from your current employer, with funding paid directly to your school or setting to enable you to carry out the adviser role.

Receive mandatory training before supporting settings.
