Job Title: Education Psychologist

Salary Grade: £47,688-£57,954 (Full-time Equivalent)

Working Pattern: Mainly during the school day

With some flexibility for after-school training, meetings with families, and CPD delivery

Hours: 37 hours per week - Part time hours or term time hours will be considered

Annual Leave: Generous entitlement

Minimum 27 days (rising to 32) plus bank holidays - term-time only will be considered

Part-time will also be considered

Location: Central office in Leigh, travelling to schools within the Trust

Required From: ASAP

In this role, you will:

Lead and develop psychological services across the Trust, fostering relational and trauma-informed approaches.

Balance direct work with children alongside consultation, assessment, training and strategic advice for staff.

Support all areas of SEND in line with the Code of Practice, using a solution-focused, preventative model with assessment via observation, consultation, pupil views, and direct work.

Inform interventions including classroom strategies, curriculum adaptations, therapeutic support, and referrals to external agencies such as CAMHS.

Plan and deliver SEND-specific CPD and training, working alongside Executive Leaders to support whole-school and Trust-wide priorities.

Contribute to the development of Education, Health and Care Plans and strategic SEND initiatives.

Evaluate and celebrate the positive impact of your work through teacher feedback, EHCP outcomes, case studies, learning walks, and school self-evaluations.

In the longer term, there may be opportunities to extend elements of the service to partner schools and external settings, broadening its impact and reach.
