EHCP Coordinator

Job description

Part-time 24 hours per week worked over 3 days. Term time only plus 2 weeks and training days. Hybrid remote/school based.

Are you an experienced SEND professional with a strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), statutory processes and multi-agency working? Do you have the knowledge, organisation and interpersonal skills to coordinate complex EHCP casework and ensure that children and young people receive the right support to achieve positive outcomes? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking to appoint an EHCP Coordinator to play a key role in ensuring that children and young people with SEND receive the right support to meet their individual needs. Working closely with pupils, parents and carers, school colleagues, the Local Authority and a range of external professionals, you will manage the EHCP process from applications and consultations through to annual reviews, ensuring that pupil needs, outcomes and provision are accurately identified and that all statutory requirements and timescales are met.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • A strong understanding of SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice and Local Authority SEND processes
  • Experience of managing EHCPs and working within statutory guidance and strict statutory timescales
  • Experience of working collaboratively with children, parents and carers, school colleagues and external professionals
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret information
  • The ability to manage sensitive or challenging situations with empathy, professionalism and resilience
  • A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND
