This role in the school is to strengthen our support for students to help them achieve their full potential.

Job Details

Hours of Work: 20 hours per week - 0.62 FTE (to be worked over 4 or 5 days per week).

Position Type: Permanent

Line Manager: Head of English

Travel Required: No

Salary: MPS1-4 for a qualified Teacher. Unqualified Teachers will be paid on the unqualified teacher scale (to be discussed at interview)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable English Tutor to support intervention work with students across KS4 and KS5.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
  • Support students to improve outcomes in English Language and Literature
  • Use their knowledge of AQA specifications to provide focused and effective support
  • Potentially contribute to KS5 teaching, depending on experience and departmental need

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong subject knowledge in English
  • Is familiar with AQA English Language and Literature courses
  • Can engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student success
