Are you an Exams Officer looking for a new opportunity in a small, friendly Secondary School?
Your new school
Lift Broadlands is a small secondary school in Keynsham, fostering a nurturing environment for students aged 11-16 and led by an incredible Principal, Laura Stone, who is passionate about ensuring that every student has access to an excellent education, in every classroom, every day. We're conveniently located near Bath and North East Somerset, with excellent transport links to Bristol and other surrounding areas. We are a small, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area. For every student who attends our academy, we aim to raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and promote a life-long love of learning. We are an OFSTED 'Good' school, and benefit from a number of links with the local community and have an excellent reputation.
Your new role
The role of the Exams Officer is essential in the management, coordination and administration of the public exams process, liaising with examination boards and collaborating with colleagues around timetables and special arrangements. The role also manages public examination results and the provision of internal examinations, assisting staff in preparation, seating plans, venue coordination and invigilation.
What you'll need to succeed
You need to be someone who is organised and able to lead a team of people. It would be ideal if you have had previous examination experience within an educational setting, but it is not essential if you feel you have transferable skills. It would be desirable if you have experience in timetabling. and ideally a good understanding of special examination requirements for students with SEND. You will be able to plan and prioritise your own workload and manage conflicting demands, coordinate multiple stakeholders (both students and staff) within a high-pressured environment. If this is you we would love to hear from you.
