- One Sixth Form, Ipswich
- 1 FTE - 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year - Permanent
- Salary: £32,598 - £36,363 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Exams Team Leader to join Eastern Education Group. This key role is responsible for the effective running and coordination of all examinations across the Group, working closely with curriculum leaders, support teams, invigilators, and awarding organisations. You will ensure that all examinations and assessments are delivered with integrity, security, and full compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You will act as the main point of contact for examination administration, overseeing robust systems and processes for candidate entries, secure handling of confidential materials, exam delivery, and the restricted release of results. You will recruit, train, and deploy the examinations team and invigilators, communicate clear internal deadlines, and liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential, as you will work closely with staff at all levels, awarding organisations, and regulatory bodies, as well as supporting inspections, audits, and the analysis and reporting of examination results.
The successful candidate will bring proven exams administrative experience, exceptional organisational capability, and the ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure to tight deadlines. You will be confident using Microsoft Office and exam management systems such as SIMS, with a sound understanding of JCQ regulations or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly. With excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to use your own initiative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality, compliance, and reputation of examinations across the Eastern Education Group.
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
