Facilities Manager

Responsible for our 33 acre site, incorporating a Victorian manor house and extensive grounds in Henley-on-Thames, our Facilities Manager leads a small team of dedicated premises staff, oversees statutory compliance, and manages planned and routine maintenance and development of the school site to ensure that staff and students have a secure, functional place to work.

What You’ll Bring

• Site & Facilities Expertise: Proven experience in facilities management, premises maintenance, or building operations (preferably in an educational or public sector setting).

• Compliance & Health & Safety: Strong knowledge of statutory compliance (COSHH, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos) and a commitment to keeping our site secure.

• Team Leadership: Experience managing or supervising site staff, contractors, and external vendors with clarity and a collaborative approach.

• Practical Problem Solving: A proactive mindset to tackle reactive repairs alongside a structured preventative maintenance schedule.

• Project & Contractor Management: Capability to oversee site projects, manage budgets, and negotiate strong value for the school.

  The ability to relate to adults and young people in a postive way is essential.
