French Language Assistant

The role

• We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative Foreign Language Assistant to join a dynamic and energetic department
• The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work with small groups of students and provide one-to-one linguistic support to students at all levels up to A Level in this highly successful school.
• The role involves helping to develop students' fluency in speaking and general linguistic and grammatical competencies.
• The candidate will work closely with the Head of Department and will take responsibility for running the language club supported by the KS3 Coordinator.
• To be aware of, and operate within, all policies relating to student welfare and guidance, especially in the area of Child Protection.

The ideal candidate

• Although PGCE or other teaching qualifications are not required, fluency in the language and up-to-date knowledge of the culture and current affairs is essential. The department boasts a large pool of resources to which the candidates will have access.
