Job description
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Geography teacher to join a thriving and popular department. Geography is a real strength within our curriculum, with more than half of each cohort choosing to study the subject at GCSE.
Our pupils are achieving strong outcomes. This summer, 79% of pupils achieved Grade 4 or above, 62% achieved Grade 5 or above and 24% achieved Grade 7 or above, with an average grade of 5.1.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to build on these successes, continue to raise achievement and help shape the future of Geography at the school, including the opportunity to develop A-Level Geography for our pupils.
The role attracts MPS/UPS + TLR 2B, with further salary negotiation available for an exceptional candidate with a proven track record of raising achievement in Geography.
To arrange an informal discussion or a visit to the school with the Principal, please contact Elaine Kerr (elaine.kerr@arkstalbans.org).
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
