Head of IT and Digital Strategy

Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust · Wantage · Oxfordshire

Job description

ODST is at an exciting stage on its digital journey. The successful applicant to the Head of IT & Digital Strategy post will be joining at a time where schools are getting closer together, community is growing stronger, and digital integration, as well as resilience and future planning, is coming to the fore. This is a great opportunity to define and shape what excellence looks like with regards to digital at ODST and set out a multi-year roadmap for change and improvement which drives real impact in our schools. Since we are at the start of the journey, the world is your oyster, but you’ll also need to be a player and manager for the early stages of the journey to really understand our current position and how to get us to where we need to be. If you’re a visionary motivated by impact, who has the ability to form and bring teams along with you but still likes to get stuck in from time to time, we’d love to hear from you!

Our offer to you?

The opportunity to be part of an established and effective central team, to shape the role into the future and to make a real difference.

    • This will be a full-time role- notionally 37 hours per week,

    • 38 days annual leave inclusive of public holidays,

      Starting salary of £75k

Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme (a defined benefit scheme),

    • A ‘unique’ working environment based on the site of a convent,

    • Great opportunities for professional development, access to a supportive Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work scheme etc.

The role will be based in Wantage (OX12 9AU) with some scope for working from home. The post holder will require access to a vehicle as regular travel across ODST schools in Oxfordshire and Berkshire will be expected. There will also be the need to attend evening meetings on occasion.
