Job description
We are seeking an exceptional and inspirational leader with a proven track record of successful senior leadership in a primary school setting. The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher who combines strategic leadership with a passion for high-quality classroom practice and is excited by the opportunity to lead whilst maintaining a significant teaching commitment.
You will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status and substantial experience of successful leadership within a primary school.
- A strong track record of raising standards and improving outcomes for all pupils through excellent teaching, learning and curriculum leadership.
- Recent experience of teaching in a primary school and the ability to model outstanding classroom practice.
- Experience of leading or coordinating SEND provision, together with a strong understanding of inclusive practice and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop staff, creating a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience of using data effectively to drive school improvement and improve pupil outcomes.
- Sound financial and resource management skills, ensuring the best possible use of resources to support pupils' achievement.
- The ability to build positive and productive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors, the wider community and external partners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to manage difficult conversations and lead with integrity, resilience and compassion.
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
As a Church of England school within Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust, we are looking for a leader who shares our values-driven approach and can articulate a clear moral purpose, demonstrating faith, courage and love in their leadership. Experience of working within a Church school and the NPQH qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.
