Job description
- Have a Level 3 qualification in teaching assistance or equivalent
- Have experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, specifically with children aged two years old
- Be able to plan and deliver appropriate activities to meet the needs of the children in the two year old room
- Have experience of completing the ‘Progress Check’ for two year olds and other relevant assessments of development towards milestones
- Have experience of liaising with a range of professionals (e.g Health Visitors)
- Have high expectations for all children
- Have the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them with respect and kindness, and demonstrating consideration for their development as learners
- Be able to provide cover for teachers in other areas of the Early Years when required
- Demonstrate high standards of spoken and written English
- Work as part of an effective team
- Carry out administrative tasks to a good standard, including using ICT
- Be prepared to contribute to all aspects of school life
