Qualifications & Training
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent professional HR experience) — Essential
- Safer Recruitment training certificate (or willingness to complete immediately) — Essential
- Degree or equivalent qualification — Desirable
Experience
- Managing HR processes within an education or public sector setting — Essential
- Maintaining a Single Central Record (SCR) to statutory compliance standards — Essential
- Coordinating payroll data and working alongside finance teams — Essential
- Advising managers on employee relations, absence management, and policy application — Essential
- Line managing staff or leading a small administrative team — Desirable
Knowledge & Skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and safer recruitment guidance — Essential
- Understanding of school terms and conditions (Burgundy Book and Green Book) — Desirable
- High-level spreadsheet skills (Excel) and proficiency with school MIS systems — Essential
- Excellent communication skills for handling sensitive conversations with diplomacy — Essential
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong data-entry accuracy — Essential
