Job Title: ICT Technician

Actual Annual Salary: £28,859 - £31,111 (Grade C) Based on hours and working weeks

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday / All year-round

Additional role info: This role will primarily support City Academy Bristol, with additional support provided to the Institute and City School HQ, which are located on the same campus/road.

Provisional Start Date: 3rd August 2026

Under the guidance of senior staff, this ICT Technician role provides high-quality IT support across City Academy Bristol and the wider campus. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing IT systems, supporting staff and students with technical issues, and contributing to the effective delivery of ICT services.

About you:

You will have:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), and a relevant IT qualification (Level 3 or above or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working within an IT support environment and delivering technical support to users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload, meeting deadlines and responding to ad hoc requests.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
