Job description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Year 4 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school team on a part-time basis (Thursdays and Fridays).
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a year group team.
We are seeking a KS2 teacher who:

To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualifications
Essential -
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree or equivalent qualification
Desirable -
- Evidence of relevant continued professional development
- Training related to teaching in Key Stage 2
Experience
Essential -
- Experience of teaching in a primary school setting (including teaching practice)
- Experience of planning and delivering lessons aligned to the National Curriculum
- Experience of managing a classroom effectively
Desirable -
- Experience of teaching in Key Stage 2
- Experience of teaching Year 4
- Experience of working collaboratively within a year group team
Knowledge and Understanding
Essential -
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS2
- Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies
- Knowledge of assessment for learning and pupil progress
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
- Awareness of inclusion and equality in a primary school context
Desirable -
- Understanding of strategies to support pupils with SEND
- Knowledge of age-related expectations in Year 4
Skills & Abilities
Essential -
- Ability to plan engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
- Good communication skills with pupils, colleagues and parents
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
