About the Role

Are you passionate about helping young people understand the world and their place within it?

Danesfield Middle School is on an exciting journey of rapid improvement, and we are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible KS3 Humanities Teacher to join our committed and forward-thinking team. We welcome applicants with any combination of Geography, History, Religious Education or PSHE, and we are equally open to candidates with other subject backgrounds who are keen to teach within a Humanities curriculum.

As a middle school, we pride ourselves on a broad, multidisciplinary approach—all staff teach across more than one subject area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys variety, collaboration, and developing their practice across disciplines.

You will:

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons to pupils in Years 7 and 8

• Inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of learning

• Work as part of a collaborative, supportive staff team

• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong subject knowledge in at least one Humanities discipline

• Is adaptable, reflective and committed to professional growth

• Has high expectations for all pupils

• Thrives in a team-oriented environment

In return, we offer:

• A welcoming and supportive school community

• A strong focus on CPD and professional development

• The chance to teach across subjects and broaden your expertise

• A relational approach to behaviour and a focus on the whole child

Come and be part of a school where flexibility, collaboration and care for the whole child are at the heart of everything we do.
