Position: Temporary Part- time KS2 Target Teacher/ PPA Cover

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons (including adaptations) in line with the KS2 curriculum.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that deeply considers Cognitive Load Theory (extraneous and intrinsic load)

  • Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback/ feedforward to support their individual development.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of teaching and learning (pedagogy and subject knowledge).

  • Demonstrate a willingness to embrace current research and innovative practice.

  • Recognise and value the benefits of Continuous Professional Development & Learning (CPDL)

  • Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians, ensuring they are informed about their child's progress and involved in their education.

  • Foster supportive and nurturing relationships with children, families and staff.

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance the overall educational experience of our pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • A commitment to high standards of safeguarding and the advocacy of children’s welfare.

  • A thorough understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing an inclusive education that meets the needs of all learners.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards professional development.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
