This is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Mentor/Teaching Assistant to join the Griffin Centre Autism Resource Base team at Ralph Allen School, working alongside a highly skilled Additional Educational Needs team to support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in successfully accessing mainstream education at Ralph Allen School.

Ideally, but not essentially, you will have previous experience working with children, young people or adults with additional learning needs, particularly autism.

The role will involve working closely with class teachers and pastoral staff to support students’ inclusion within the mainstream curriculum and wider school environment, enabling them to participate fully and achieve success. You will also be required to assist with school break and/or lunchtime duties.

Full training will be given.

Our school belongs to the Palladian Academy Trust, which is passionate about providing opportunities for its pupils and staff. This is an exciting time to join the developing trust and to further your own career in education. You will be joining a lively community of schools that offers professional development and a supportive work environment as well as a generous local government pension scheme.

Ralph Allen is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children: the successful applicant must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and will need to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
