About the Role
Romans Field School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our committed class-based support teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with special educational needs, supporting their learning and development in a warm, inclusive environment.
Hours: Monday - Thursday : 0830 - 16:30, Friday 08:30 - 16:00
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to children with a range of special educational needs, including ASC, SEMH, and complex needs.
- Work closely with class teachers to support the delivery of personalised learning plans.
- Engage with children at varying levels of ability, fostering positive relationships and encouraging independence.
- Assist in maintaining and looking after designated learning areas within the school.
- Be an integral part of the class-based support team, contributing to a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children’s emotional regulation and social development through empathetic and patient interaction.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced in working with children with special educational needs.
- Ability to engage effectively with children across a broad spectrum of abilities and needs.
- Experience supporting classroom teachers and working collaboratively within a team.
