Learning Support Assistant
Contract: Term-time only
Salary: LGS Scale 3 pts 5-6 + London Fringe Allowance (pro rata)
26.67 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:45am - 3pm
About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our team and help create a learning environment where every student can thrive. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working closely with students, understands the importance of inclusive education, and is eager to make a meaningful difference each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with a range of learning needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
- Encourage students’ independence, confidence and participation in school life.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students, staff and families.
About You
- Warm, patient and committed to helping students succeed.
- Able to adapt your approach to meet individual needs.
- Confident communicating with pupils, staff and parents.
- Organised, reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
- Experience in a school or SEND setting is beneficial but not essential.
