Victoria Primary Academy are looking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic and reliable Learning Support Assistant, to support teachers to enable identified pupils to achieve their full potential. This is a key role within our school – we have a number of children who have a range of additional needs and we pride ourselves on our strong commitment to inclusion. Supporting children with additional needs to learn alongside their peers and make good or better progress is a key aim for us and this role is crucial in enabling the school to meet this. To be able to fulfil this role you will need a strong personal ethos of integrity, patience, resilience and commitment.

At Victoria we aspire to achieve the very best for every single pupil. As noted by OFSTED in 2023 “‘Aspiration’ is a key word at Victoria Primary Academy. It is central to everything leaders do, from the design of the school’s ambitious curriculum to the awe-inspiring trips on offer.”

  3. Enthusiastic
  4. Passionate about ensuring all children achieve the best they possibly can
  5. Professional
  6. An excellent team player

We expect high standards of behaviour from our children and high standards of professionalism from our staff.

The role would be assisting with day to day requirements of individual children with special needs, this could be in a number of year groups depending on candidate’s previous experience and expertise.

If you

• have a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths

• have a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or demonstrable experience of working with or caring for children with special needs

• are physically fit

• are flexible and responsive with the ability to address potentially challenging situations

• have a commitment to deliver first class support to staff and pupils then we would love to hear from you.

Victoria Primary Academy is a two form entry school situated on the edge of Wellingborough. We are proud to be a diverse school, with pupils from a range of backgrounds, cultures and faiths. Over half our pupils speak English as an additional language, with 44 different languages being spoken across the academy.
